The purpose of the Seminar, which is going to be moderated by the IFAC Technical Manager on Education, is the presentation of the novelties that the International Education Standards bring in the specialized faculties’ curricula and the importance of the continuous professional development for accounting professionals, in order to assure the credibility of services rendered on the market.

The effects of globalization are felt also in the accountancy profession, so following the engagements assumed by each organization member of IFAC, each norm, each Standard or International Code of Ethics must be mandatory adopted at national level.

As such, the International Education Standards issued by IFAC, in Romania for instance have been adopted and must be mandatory introduced as key strategic elements in the academic training of economic colleges’ students and especially introduced in the development of national professional rules. (CECCAR has already issued the professional Rule no. 38, which was enacted in Romania on The 1st of January 2005 and which, is addressed to all accounting professionals).

In order for these Standards to be known all across the South-Eastern European Countries, the SEEPAD member organizations have named their specialists which, by attending this event, will be trained as future trainers in their native countries, promoting the above mentioned at national level.

The event will be, in conclusion, an excellent opportunity for the ones invited, to change relevant messages, questions, impressions and experiences and even proposals or solutions for the implementation of the International Education Standards in their national environment.
