The South Eastern European Partnership on Accountancy Development (SEEPAD) organized 6 working Group meetings by January 2002. The Meetings were organized in 6 different cities/countries in South Eastern Europe starting with Sofia, Bulgaria in March 2000 and the last meeting was in Istanbul, Turkey in December 2001.

In order to facilitate communication among SEEPAD member countries and fulfill its mandate, mission and objectives a Belgrade based Operational Secretariat was established on April 1, 2002.

SEEPAD held its First General Assembly in a new convocation in Sinaia/Romania on June 19 –20, 2002 on the subject

The Harmonization of Professional Regulatory Rules Within SEEPAD Countries

More than 40 participants from SEEPAD Member Countries and international organizations attended the meeting and contributed with their ideas and suggestions to the promotion and enhancement of the Harmonization of Professional Regulatory Rules.

SEEPAD Third General Assembly was held in Sofia, Bulgaria, on 9-10th June 2004.
