* identify, analyse and compare the main accountancy reform issues in SEE;
* develop policy recommendations to raise the quality of accountancy reform;
* facilitate co-operation between all relevant parties involved in accountancy reform;
* serve as an information clearing house and contact point for reform projects in the region;
* support the implementation of international standards/benchmarks on accounting, auditing and professional qualification, as well as other related issues; and
* help build strong and sustainable self-regulatory accounting and auditing organizations able to fulfil their public sector responsibilities.
